Reflections encourages students of all ages to:

  • Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork
  • Experience the fun and joy of making art
  • Tap into critical-thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme
  • Receive positive recognition for their original works of art.

The Reflections Program increases community awareness of the importance of the arts in education.

Join this exciting National PTA arts recognition program, where students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 students are encouraged to submit original works of art in one or more of the following categories:

Get the word out! Hang flyers, distribute student entry forms and program guidelines, talk up Reflections on your morning announcements, and share news about your Reflections program on your school/PTA website or social media!

Attend training! We hosted a Reflections training via Zoom on Monday,  September 19th at 7:30pm after the PTA County Council meeting.

Conduct judging! Use the Judges’ Rubric to score each entry for creativity, skill, and interpretation of the theme. 
Celebrate your winners! Host a gallery, award your artists, announce them on social media- there are lots of options in your Leader’s Guide. 

Advancing to County: Please send the top 3 entries per ARTS CATEGORY and per GRADE DIVISION to the County level of judging by Friday, December 16th. More information regarding this process will be shared as we approach the date. 

ALL entries that advanced to the County level will be honored in a Reflections Celebration in April/May.
