PTA Compliance Requirements

Don’t Fall Behind…. Stay Current With Your PTA Compliance.

To ensure compliance requirements are received and records updated for your local unit, please be sure to do the following:  
Send a copy/verification of each completed item to PTA Council of Frederick County ~ soca@frederickpta.org

PTA Financial Review Form 
Must be completed annually by October 30th.
Federal Income Tax (990N/990EZ)
IRS Website:  Form 990N Postcard
IRS Form 990ez:  www.irs.gov
Must be filed annually by November 15th.
Maryland Charitable Organization
MD Dept of State Forms:
Click on Charitable Registration Forms 
Must be filed annually by December 31st.
Membership Dues
All paid members will be counted by March 31st.
(final balance due by June 30th)
Personal Property Tax
MD Dept of Assessments & Taxation
Must be filed annually by April 15th.
Officer Contact Information
Local Unit Contact Form 2020-2021
Must be submitted by July 1st
(or within 2 weeks of your elections)
Must be purchased by July 1st.

Bylaws
Must be submitted every three (3) years to MD PTA.
(or revisions must be submitted whenever any portion of your local unit bylaws are changed)
